Socio-cultural changes that are currently taking place in Poland very intensely affect the perception of marriage and family life. In this context, an attempt by Janusz Marian to capture dynamics of change in the consciousness of the youth of the final year of secondary school seems very interesting. The book titled Marriage and Family in the minds of the youth of the final year of secondary school - stability and change is based on empirical research conducted in five Polish cities. The author compares the responses given by young people in 1994 and 2009. He uses for the implementation of both researches the same methodology and the same research tools. The book Family in the minds of the youth of the final year of secondary school - stability and change presents the relationship of youth towards the rules governing marriage and family life. According to the author, the transformation of family-oriented morality is of multidirectional nature, and takes place on one hand under the influence of secularization and individualization, on the other - evangelization and revitalization of morality. Janusz Marian sees continuity and changes. According to him, many young Catholics reject the standards of Christian ethics governing the area of marriage and family life. According to him the understanding of the happy family, welfare of the individual is gaining importance.
