The article discusses the importance of creating ”one’s own future” by persistent offenders
and its correlation with the efficiency of the re-socialisation process. It describes the risks
associated with the pathologisation in the sphere of life planning and emphasises the need of
shaping life plans by offenders themselves as the precondition for effective re-socialisation.
Finally, it refers to the significance of efficacy of the system of all social services.
