Abstract: This article discusses the application of the concept of Society 5.0 in academic
career counselling. Material and methods: A literature review, a survey conducted among students (04-
12.2024), also used strategic management tools BCG and strategic group matrices. Results: The article defines career counselling 5.0 in the context of student well-being
in the new economic model. Students use basic career counselling services 4.0. They
do not take a strategic approach to their first career decisions, acting as ‘technological
pragmatists’ who use technology in a basic way, and their well-being is limited to finding
a secure job and correctly preparing application documents. Conclusions: A holistic 5.0 approach aimed at maintaining psychophysical balance and
quality of life allows us to understand and respond to dynamic changes in the labour
market (new work models, advanced AI tools). The transition to a higher level requires
building awareness of the role and importance of well-being in the professional life of
students.
