ABSTRACT
Abstract: The article addresses the issue of digital transformation of the micro, small and medium-sized enterprise sector in Poland. The aim of the study is to analyze the main barriers and benefits related to the implementation of modern technologies, such as process automation, e-commerce, remote management and cloud technologies. Material and methods: The article is of a review and analysis nature and is based on a qualitative analysis of the subject literature and secondary data from current industry reports and institutional studies. Results: Poland scored 40.5 points in the DESI 2022 edition, which places it in 24th place in the EU. Although the position is low, the rate of growth of the indicator in the years 2017-2022 was slightly higher than the EU. Conclusions: The digital transformation of the micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector in Poland is not only a challenge, but also an opportunity for long-term development and increased competitiveness.
