Streszczenie: Badanie analizuje sposób, w jaki społeczeństwo postrzega narracje historyczne,
zwłaszcza w odniesieniu do polityki, różnic pokoleniowych i zaufania do instytucji
takich jak muzea. Materiał i metody: Zastosowano podejście oparte na metodach mieszanych, obejmujące
ankietę i wywiady z 381 respondentami. Wyniki: Wyniki pokazują, że chociaż muzea są ogólnie postrzegane jako przedstawiające
prawdę, znaczna część odwiedzających muzea (37%) pozostaje sceptyczna, często
przedkładając ustne relacje z rodziny i kręgów społecznych nad oficjalne relacje. Na sceptycyzm
ten duży wpływ ma powiązanie historii z polityką, gdzie wydarzenia historyczne
są wykorzystywane jako narzędzia dyskursu politycznego, co dodatkowo polaryzuje
opinię publiczną. Badanie podkreśla również, że młodsze pokolenia, zwłaszcza pokolenie
Z, wykazują silniejsze reakcje emocjonalne na konflikty historyczne, podczas gdy starsze pokolenia, w tym pokolenie X i pokolenie wyżu demograficznego, pozostają podzielone między bólem a otwartością na
pojednanie. Co zaskakujące, nie stwierdzono istotnych różnic w perspektywie w zależności od orientacji seksualnej i klasy
społecznej, co sugeruje, że trauma historyczna jest powszechnie odczuwana przez wszystkie grupy demograficzne. Wnioski: Wyniki badań sugerują potrzebę edukacji historycznej, zwiększenia umiejętności korzystania z mediów oraz
dokumentacji historycznej opartej na społecznościach lokalnych, aby zająć się uprzedzeniami i promować bardziej pojednawcze
podejście do historii. Poprzez wspieranie otwartego dialogu i zapewnienie przejrzystości w przedstawianiu historii
społeczeństwo może dążyć do bardziej jednolitego rozumienia przeszłości, łagodząc historyczną niechęć i zmniejszając
polaryzację polityczną.
PODZIĘKOWANIA
Wyniki niniejszych badań zostały zaprezentowane podczas międzynarodowego seminarium poświęconego interpretacji i prezentacji dziedzictwa kulturowego dla przyszłych pokoleń, które odbyło się w 2024 r. w sali wykładowej Bush House w King’s College London w Wielkiej Brytanii. Seminarium zostało zorganizowane i w całości sponsorowane przez Instytut Studiów Międzynarodowych Uniwersytetu Narodowego w Seulu, King’s College London (KCL), Międzynarodowy Komitet Naukowy ds. Interpretacji i Prezentacji Miejsc Dziedzictwa Kulturowego (ICOMOS-ICIP) oraz Our World Heritage. Ponadto niniejsze badanie zostało przyjęte do prezentacji plakatowej podczas dorocznej konferencji ICME 2024 „Muzea i zmiany 2024 – zbieżność głosów: globalny dialog na temat zarządzania, opieki i usług”, która odbyła się w Narodowym Muzeum Antropologii w Meksyku.
Autor wyraża wdzięczność komitetom organizacyjnym tych konferencji za stworzenie międzynarodowej platformy wymiany wiedzy. Szczególne podziękowania kieruje do pana Sungho Lee i dr Jihona Kima z Międzynarodowego Seminarium na temat Interpretacji i Prezentacji Dziedzictwa dla Przyszłych Pokoleń za ich nieocenione wsparcie, które przyczyniło się do pomyślnej prezentacji niniejszego badania.
Ponadto wytrwałość autora w dążeniu do ciągłego rozwoju zawodowego i promowaniu postępu wiedzy poprzez badania wynika z niezachwianego wsparcia i miłości dr Ricardo Apolinario Wagana, pierwszego rektora Uniwersytetu Politechnicznego Stanu Laguna, byłego przewodniczącego Filipińskiego Stowarzyszenia Państwowych Uniwersytetów i Szkół Wyższych (Region IV-A i B), najdłużej urzędującego rektora uniwersytetu państwowego i college'u w historii Filipin, oraz jego ukochanego dziadka, który zmarł 8 kwietnia 2025 r.
